MustEatNow. Three words for one thought.
There’s nothing like visiting a food blog and seeing a mouth-watering picture of food: warm cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting oozing right before your eyes; crisp, green leaves of a tossed salad barely settled on a plate; spaghetti wrapped loosely around a fork, seconds from being devoured. All of this glorious food that looks like it should be on a restaurant table is actually meant for yours.
I could spend hours in front of my computer reading food blogs (oftentimes I do). I devour the pictures and words, bookmark recipes, and when I’m wondering what to eat, I know exactly where to go. It’s no wonder I’m so obsessed with food: how to make it, where to get it, when to eat it—I grew up in a family whose favourite pastimes are cooking and eating. When we were eating we were discussing our next meal; when guests were visiting, gossip would include the latest adaptation of a recipe. So considering my past experiences with food and my current life as a writer and editor, it was only natural that one day I’d start a blog about food.
Each review of a food blog features a few recipes that I particularly like. However, each blog deserves a leisurely sit-down with a cup of coffee or glass(es) of wine, and a thorough exploration. I hope that, like me, you’ll be inspired to head into your kitchen and try out some new recipes. There’s no reason for cooking to ever be boring. These home cooks spend countless hours sourcing, cooking, adapting or developing, photographing, and writing to make it as easy and enjoyable for us as possible.
I love the passion bloggers exhibit on their pages and every time I discover one that makes me think must eat now, you’ll be sure to see it here.
Cheers,
